Service Description: Classified 2011 land cover of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The watershed spans 6 states (Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware) and Washington D.C. The dataset is based on the most recent National Land Cover Database (NLCD), which is the definitive Landsat-based, 30-meter resolution land cover database for the United States. NLCD products are created by the Multi-Resolution Land Characteristics (MRLC) Consortium, a partnership of Federal agencies led by the U.S. Geological Survey.
